[2023.08.31] The nationwide Creative Economy Innovation Centers recommended 21 startups participate in the joint Investor Relations (IR) event, '쎄쎄투' (C'esthetto)

ㅣDaily Post = Reporter Kwak Min-guㅣ 19 creative economy innovation centers jointly selected promising startups nationwide. They held an IR event called ‘C'esthetto’ to announce business plans to attract investment.

Twenty-one startups from ▲biohealth and eco-friendly energy fields, ▲big data and artificial intelligence fields, and ▲overall industrial technology fields participated in ‘C'esthetto,’ which announced its start at COEX in Seoul on the morning of the 31st. These are companies recommended by 19 Creative Economy Innovation Centers, and all have products and services with excellent marketability and expansion potential.

At the opening ceremony, Lim Jeong-Wook, Director of the Startup and Venture Innovation Office of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, participated and announced the direction of the government’s ‘Startup Korea Policy.’ Director Lim said, “We will change the paradigm of start-up policy, which has so far focused on domestic commercialization, and provide a turning point to become a global start-up powerhouse.”

In the following panel session, Life Square CEO Choi Hyung-wook and Future Play CEO Ryu Joong-hee each gave keynote speeches on the current status of the startup ecosystem and investment strategy in the super gap field, followed by a panel discussion.

In the panel discussion, we had time to talk with Ha Sang-yong, Chairman of the Creative Economy Innovation Center Council, about the role of the Creative Economy Innovation Center following changing technological trends and investment ecosystems and the blueprint for expanding the Creative Economy Innovation Center as a public accelerator.

Chairman Ha Sang-yong said, “Despite the cold investment atmosphere, many startups dream of innovation and do not stop taking on challenges.” He added, “Through today’s event, we hope our startups' growth potential will be widely known and lead to successful investment attraction."

The event, named 'Cessto,' combines the Creative Economy Innovation Center (CCEI) abbreviation and the Korean word for 'Say,' which represents 'Investment.' This event, the second of this year, aimed to provide a platform for startups recommended by the Creative Economy Innovation Centers.

Below is the list of participating startups based on their respective sectors:

  • Biohealth/Eco-friendly Energy: Gauss Lab, Nanum Energy, The Gam, Reziena, Biroot, TEACH Pharm, HowlBio

  • Big Data/Artificial Intelligence: MindLogic, Mobwheel, IoT Plus, AverVirtual, 8Tech, Curingenos, Hudson AI

  • Various Technological Fields: Viva Labida, MKE, Watt, CoolBears, TerraBlock, Pure, Hyumil
